Customize your Intercom AI agent with eesel

AI bots are invaluable assets, granted they sound and can transition from topic to topic like a human.

Customizing an AI agent’s communication style to match your brand’s tone and your service team’s behavior is important when trying to make them sound human.

We know how important it is to keep things sounding “real”, which is why eesel AI offers a couple of different ways to achieve this.

Setting the tone for your AI

Customizing your AI’s tone of voice is pretty straightforward with eesel.

  1. Log into your account and make your way to the eesel AI dashboard.
  2. At the top left, select the bot you’d like to modify, specifically one that’s connected to your Intercom.

3. Click on the “Customize” button on the sidebar.

  1. In the chat box, describe the tone you’d like your bot to have. You can copy paste in a brand voice if you have one.
  2. Describe what you’d like the bot to do if it can’t answer a question. Example: direct someone to the customer support team if you can’t answer a question.

This prompt will be what the bot uses as a reference whenever you’ve enabled it, please make sure that it’s correct. While there’s normally a 2,000 character limit, you can contact us in the event that you need more.

Adjusting the AI chat appearance

We know that branding matters, so we’ve made it possible to edit how your AI agent looks.

  1. At the eesel AI dashboard, make sure the correct bot is selected at the top left corner.

2. On the sidebar under “Destinations”, select “Chat bubble”.

  1. Adjust the title, welcome message, color, or bot image. For any extra changes you’d like, please contact us at it@eesel.app, and we’d be happy to assist.

Create and train your AI agent army for Intercom

You can build up and train a number of AI agents that will work in your Intercom. They can do things like triage conversations based on your guidelines, handle basic queries, and even escalate to humans when necessary. These actions are a bit more complex and require us to tinker with a couple of things.
