Steps for making an AI chatbot with eesel AI

Step 1: Sign up for eesel AI

1. Click here to navigate to our signup page.
2. Fill in your details to create your account.
3. Sign in to access your dashboard.

Step 2: Train your chatbot

eesel AI is trained on ‘Sources’, which can be any number of things like your:

  • Website
  • Help center
  • Google Docs
  • Confluence wiki
  • PDFs

And a lot more! Open up the Source menu in the dashboard to browse your options. Or if you have something that’s not on our menu, you can reach out to hi@eesel.app and we’ll sort it out for you!

If you select a Source, it will tell you how to add it to your bot. Most will follow these steps:

  1. Install the eesel AI browser extension.

2. Open the document or page in a browser tab (like a Notion page or a Google Doc).

3. Use the extension’s “Add Sources” feature to add that content to your bot.

Now that your bot has some knowledge to use, you can add custom prompts and personalization like tone from within the “Customize” tab of your dashboard.

Before we add it to any of our Destination platforms though, we’ll want to test it out and make sure our knowledge is answering what we want it to.

Step 3: Chat with the AI chatbot

With your knowledge Sources uploaded, your eesel AI chatbot is ready to go. Now comes the fun part: testing!

So go ahead and ask questions to see how it responds. The chatbot pulls directly from the knowledge you’ve provided (whether it’s from public content or private documents) and delivers accurate answers instantly.

How to test your chatbot:

  1. Access the chatbot directly through the eesel AI dashboard.
  2. Type in a question that you’d like it to be able to answer based on your Sources.
  3. The chatbot responds immediately, pulling its answer from the content you’ve provided.

It should feel like you’re chatting with a human assistant. Whether customer-facing or internal, the chatbot uses your company’s knowledge to give precise answers.

You can use this test chat to make sure the tone and answers are correct, and adjust your customization and personalization through the prompt – or update your knowledge Sources.

The more comprehensive your knowledge base, the more valuable and useful the responses will be.

Step 4: Deploy the chatbot across your platforms

Once you’ve tested your chatbot, it’s time to put it where people want it. eesel AI integrates seamlessly with your help desk, as well as with Slack, Microsoft Teams, and as a website widget, allowing you to meet users where they are.

Deploying the chatbot involves selecting a Destination from the sidebar. You can pick anything you want, and follow the prompts. If there’s a Destination that isn’t on our menu, reach out and we can set it up for you!

Slack

If your team uses Slack, you can put eesel AI directly into the interface, allowing employees to ask questions without leaving their chat environment. This is particularly useful for HR, IT, and other internal support functions, where employees frequently need quick answers to common questions.

How to add eesel AI to Slack:

  1. Go to your eesel AI dashboard.
  2. Look for ‘Destinations’ on the left of your screen select the + icon.
  3. Tap Slack and follow the steps to log in your browser to connect it with your workspace.

And you’re done! Anyone in your Slack can now ask the chatbot anything simply by sending it a message in Slack.

Microsoft Teams

It’s easy to speak with eesel AI in Microsoft Teams. This makes it simple to access internal knowledge, saving time spent looking for documents or waiting for IT and HR to get back to you.

How to add eesel AI to Teams:

  1. Go to your eesel AI dashboard.
  2. Look for ‘Destinations’ on the left of your screen select the + icon.
  3. Tap Microsoft Teams, and follow the prompts to copy the link.
  4. Create a new tab in your teams, choose website, and paste the link.

And you’re done! You can now ask eesel AI questions directly in Teams, getting instant answers from the chatbot.

Embed as a website widget

If your goal is to provide customer-facing support, you can embed the eesel AI chat bubble directly on your website.

This allows visitors to ask questions and get immediate answers without having to contact your support team. It’s ideal for reducing the volume of basic customer inquiries, such as questions about products, shipping, or return policies.

How to add the website widget:

  1. Go to your eesel AI dashboard.
  2. Look for ‘Destinations’ on the left of your screen select the + icon.
  3. Select ‘Chat Bubble’ then tap ‘Enable.’

4. Tap on the new Chat Bubble now under the Destinations subhead.

5. You can edit the Widget’s appearance and settings from this screen.

6. Now, tap the ‘Code Snippet’ Tab at the top of your screen.

When you visit the page where you’ve placed the code snippet’s HTML code, you’ll be able to chat with eesel AI.
